SITUATION

A PRIVILEGED LOCATION

Near Cala Saona and is Cap de Barbaria

Cala Saona is a small cove flanked by cliffs, hidden in a small bay between Punta Rasa to the south and Caló d’en Trull in the north.

The house is located very close to one of the most iconic places of Formentera: Cap de Barbaria, a rocky elevation located in the southwest corner of the island. It is reached by a narrow road, as you get closer the lighthouse appears with a huge blue sea as a backdrop. The vegetation is arid and scarce because of the strong wind on this 100 meters deep cliff.

We recommend a visit to La Cova Foradada, 155 meters walk to La Torre Des Garroveret, one of the defense towers scattered around Formentera that began to be built in the eighteenth century to defend against Saracen pirates.

The sunsets are spectacular with the islet Es Vedrá in the background.

The green routes 8, 10 and 11 will lead us here, also passing by the prehistoric sites of Cap de Barbaria, access to the Natural Park is free for bicycles.

Saona Cove

White sand beach located between cliffs, 10 minutes walk from the house.

Rocky cliff

Es Cap de Barbaria is the southernmost rocky elevation of the island.

Es Cap Lighthouse

Breathtaking views from the vertical cliff 100 meters above sea level.

An island full of magic and moments

There are many ways to enjoy this wonderful island, it is full of surprises and has nature as its first essence.

Enjoy it and respect it when you come, because places like these are few and far between and we must preserve them for ourselves and for future generations.

Here we leave you a few more pictures of Maria Serra Maria Serra, a clear example of the look of a photographer who loves and lives all year round in Formentera.

Through his lens he gives us daily postcards that immortalize unique moments.

Thank you for giving us all the images to make this website.
